naming of parts
supernatural gen
title from Henry Reed's "Naming of Parts"
season one in seventy-five words
Sam, yells Dean as he kicks down the apartment door.
Jess, screams Sam and watches her burn.
Sam, Dean orders. Sam, Dean pulls him away.
No, Sam snaps and slams the car door.
Sam, Dean pleads when he picks up the phone.
Dad, shouts Sam, like begging for attention,
Sam, Dean soothes and lets him drive.
Dean, Sam says, looking in the rear view mirror.
Dean, he whispers. Dean, and pulls him from the wreck.
This is very experimental and I'm not sure if I like it but I wanted to post it regardless. It serves as a coda for the development of Sam and Dean's relationship in the first season-- I can remember perfectly the first time Sam screamed Dean's name in that terrified possessive tone and it made me notice the change over the course of the season-- Dean uses Sam's name constantly and is entirely focused on rebuilding their relationship but until the last few episodes, Sam is focused on Jess's death and finding John and getting revenge. This is probably longer than the story now, but I'm afraid this won't speak for itself and I wanted to get my point across.
